Making money is an essential aspect of running a business, and as the internet landscape evolved, we had to continuously find new ways to generate revenue. One way we did this was through an online store that featured products geared towards our target demographic, such as lingerie and romantic gifts. By partnering with around 30 vendors, we were able to negotiate annual fees ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. During peak holiday seasons, we saw monthly sales of around $250,000.
In addition to the online store, we also utilized advertising to generate income. We displayed two ads on every page of our website, which received an average of 10 page views per visit. This amounted to approximately 60 million ads served per month. We also had sponsorships for specific channels on our website, with the dating channel alone generating close to $20,000 per month at its peak.
Finally, we also sold ebooks tailored to specific holidays. During these holiday periods, we were able to sell around 1,000 ebooks per day at $5 each.
Overall, our various revenue streams allowed us to be successful in the constantly changing world of the internet.
